Compatriots;
Today I would like to write on an issue that has always been important to me - the creation of "teenagers" and the destruction of men and ladies.
In the Post-Christian society we live in today, there is a phenomenon called adolescence that has its roots, not in the Bible, but in Darwinist Evolutionary social theory.
(Today I will focus mainly on the men, but most of this post will be able to be applied to ladies too)
Today we see "guys" (see previous post - Men vs. Guys) who are refusing the responsibility and duties of manhood, while expecting some higher status than a "boy". Therefore, they have adopted the title "teen" or "adolescent". An adolescent is a male with the maturity, responsibility, and duties of a BOY, who expects the treatment and privileges of a MAN.
However, in the old days, this was not so. Boys became men, not teens. There were 14 year olds going to war, running farms, and men not much older, marrying and leading families. They were forced to assume the maturity, responsibilities, and duties of manhood; and thus they received the treatment, and privileges of manhood.
So what happened?
Somewhere around the time of the Industrial Revolution, men like G. Stanley Hall, William James, and John Dewey etc decided to apply a new religious belief system called Darwinism to social and familial construct. Thus adolescence came about.
The theory of men like Hall was that the growth of a child, repeated the process of evolution. The being started as a single cell, and slowly evolved into a complete human at around the age of 18. The first 5 years represent a certain evolutionary period, the next 7 another period, and so on until adulthood.
This Darwinian theory is from where the phenomenon of adolescence comes. Do we really want to further these wicked theories?
Why do Christian parents foster these false "stages" of growth? Why do many churches foster this Darwinian belief through age segregated church services? And most of all, why do parent's send their children to public schools to be treated as "adolescents", and be encouraged to remain children and not grow into men (Many times until their mid-30s).
Men, it is time to grow up. Video games, "hanging out" at the mall, and doing other frivolous, childish activities are for CHILDREN. Its time to become men, put away childish things, and forget this foolish notion of adolescence.

Wow, I was unaware of the connection between 'adolescence', Darwinism, and John Dewey though I have heard this subject addressed before.
Last year I read 'N.E.A. Trojan horse in American Education' which relates the history of the public school system including Marx's and Darwin's influence on John Dewey, and their compounded influence on our entire society primarily through the schools.
After reading your post I realized that cultivating a generation of 'adolescence' was one of the many goals that Marx, John Dewey, Freud, and their followers had as part of their plan when they created the public school system and infiltrated Hollywood.
They were all VERY evil men!
The question really does fall on the parents though- why did, and do they sell their children to Caesar? The public school system was originally created when the Christian's compromised and joined the humanist because they were afraid that if they continued to be separate they would not be able to hold back the tide of Mormons flowing into the country. The Unitarians, by bringing in heretical doctrines into the church, also helped sway Christians into compromise.
When I read the book, my first thought was, DID, and do, Christians believe that God is not big enough to protect them from evil cults or provide them with higher education, so much so that they have to resort to seeking man's help??
If the church had not compromised during the 1800s we would likely not be seeing a society full of 'adolescents' today.
May God cause us all to repent of our unbelief, trust in His providence, and in the knowledge that He and His word are infallible and completely sovereign over EVERY area of life. We Never have to turn to fallible untrustworthy men for protection.

Yes, to a degree. But usually girls "get it together" sonner than boys. And I have alot more tolerance for girls than I do boys who act like little kids.

Wise and true words, RG. The whole point is, is it Biblical? Where in Scripture do we find the principle or pattern of young men being respected or commended for acting foolish.
Every commendable young man we see in the Word of God is behaving and thinking maturely, even in adverse situations -- Daniel, Joseph, Timothy.
And since the principles and patterns of the Word are eternal, we have no authority to change what we expect from our young men, just to "fit in" with popular culture.

Amen!! I don't believe I was aware of the connection to Darwinism...though I certainly am aware of the evils of adolescence. It is, unfortunately, extremely common here in Yankeedom. (Expression of disgust...regarding both above and said Yankeedom.) This article is a great piece of encouragement. Please keep it up.
And now healthcare. Yeha. So...we all await your post on the evils of healthcare. :) They've got a lawsuit on their hands...but even that ain't the end of the story.

May I ask, why do you have more tolerance for girls who act immature/silly than you do boys?
Should not girls be expected to behave as mature ladies as well?
Just for a tip, when gentlemen treat ladies in a manner that shows that they expect the ladies to behave maturely, the ladies will then want to and try to behave more maturely and ladylike.

I never said I liked it when girls act immature, and un-ladylike but I doubt I could disdain ANYTHING more than a sissy, imature, dead fish handed boy. Maybe it is because I am a man, and not a lady. But I have very little sympathy for girls who are immature and un-ladylike.
